Learn About Our Kompong Khleang Tour
Our tours take guests to Kompong Khleang, the largest floating village in Siem Reap province. Located about 55km outside of the city, the villages are home to over 10,000 people, many of whom have been living here for generations. Our community-based tours are unique and unlike others in town. Because our staff comes from the village and the non-profit we fund work in the community we enjoy a particularly close relationship with community residents. Rather than coming as tourists you are able to visit the village as friends.
Join In Group & Private Tour Options
Our group tour leaves Siem Reap at 2:00PM daily and last about 5.5 hours. The fee is $35 USD/per person all inclusive including entrance fees and boat tickets. We also have several private options. Learn more about our floating village tour itinerary here.

Our goal is for guests to not only see the Tonle Sap but gain insight into daily life in Kampong Khleang while learning about some of the issues the communities face. Profits from the tours are donated to Bridge of Life School to fund education, clean water, and other projects.

Tours change based on the season (lake water level affects the itinerary) but typically include food stops for fresh Khmer sticky rice and palm sugar; a Buddhist pagoda tour at Wat Khleang; a ride in a boat to Outaput village to see where Bridge of Life works in a stilted home; a boat ride out to the Tonle Sap to see an ethnic Vietnamese floating village; and sunset on afternoon tours. We also take a brief walking tour of the village during the dry season. In addition to our daily group tour, we have several private tour options with unique itineraries.

THE TONLE SAP
The Tonle Sap (literally the "Great Lake") is a lake and river system that extends throughout Cambodia and is the largest lake in all of South East Asia. It is of extreme importance to Cambodians as many live on it and earn their living through the lake, including residents of Kompong Khleang.
